Terms & Conditions of Business

1. All cheques must be made payable to ‘Clacton Fencing'.

2. Clacton Fencing do not ask our customers for a deposit or payment prior to any work agreed or undertaken.

3. Should a customer require or instruct any changes to an agreed quotation before or during any work undertaken, a new quotation must be completed and agreed.

4. Clacton Fencing reserve the right to change any agreed job start date should circumstances, weather conditions or other reasons occur. Should this rare circumstance occur, Clacton Fencing will give the customer as much notice where possible and offer new job start dates at the earliest possible opportunity that are both acceptable to the customer & Clacton Fencing.

5. Customers must agree to take responsibility to inform neighbours, gain consent, and arrange access on behalf of Clacton Fencing where any work agreed may affect a neighbours property or garden. Under no circumstances will Clacton Fencing enter into any dispute with neighbours or any other persons with regard to work being undertaken by Clacton Fencing on the customers behalf.

6. Customers must inform Clacton Fencing in writing of the position & depth of any sub-surface cables, pipes or conduits which may affect any work agreed. Clacton Fencing accepts no liability in the event of any damage caused to such items unless this condition has been met.

7. Clacton Fencing recommend that customers obtain several estimates before deciding which company they want to use. Once instucted, should the customer cancel any agreed work, the customer shall be liable to pay Clacton Fencing any expenses for materials purchased on the customers behalf, also to pay for lost labour and or any other reasonable related costs incurred to Clacton Fencing. Labour costs are at present £190.00 per person, per day.

8. The agreed full payment must be received by Clacton Fencing immediately upon completion of work and materials supplied or installed. Under no circumstances will the customer withhold the agreed full payment for any reason. All materials supplied or installed by Clacton Fencing remain the property of Clacton Fencing until the full agreed payment is received by Clacton Fencing from the customer.

9. Customers should note that wood is a natural product. During certain weather conditions and over time, timber is liable to swell, bow, warp or split. Timber treatments & regular maintenance will help to sustain the life and look of your fence or gates. Clacton Fencing will not accept liability under our guarantee should any of these natural occurrences manifest.

10. All measurements contained on quotations are approximate. Any excess materials remain the property of Clacton Fencing and will be removed from the customers premises upon completion of works.

Customer Acceptance & Instruction

After carefully reading & agreeing to Clacton Fencing's 'Terms & Conditions of Business', should the customer decide to accept & instruct Clacton Fencing to carry out works described on a completed quotation form. Please telephone Clacton Fencing to confirm & arrange dates for works to begin.
